Responsibilities

  • Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at plant sites;
  • Conducts routine and non-routine field tasks, operates specialized equipment, takes measurements, extracts and compiles data regarding equipment and process performance;
  • Develops calculations, tables, reports and related data;
  • Maintains maintenance logs and certification documents;
  • Assists with the development of procedures required to perform equipment maintenance and operation;
  • Participates in planning and executing projects;
  • May provide input to training materials and may conduct training, as needed;
  • Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance;
  • Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service;
  • May/Will require extensive travel to a variety of regional and remote job sites;
  • May/Will require unescorted nuclear site access.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education;
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience and NDE Technician I Sr requisites* required;
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field;
  • Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs, as required for specific roles;
  • Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, convey detailed technical data and work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.

Qualifications

  • Technical certifications to be acquired: Tool Technician: Two additional tool technician certs; Operator: Must complete NDE117.2, NDE1150.5, NDE1320.2, NDE1110.4 or RAN100.2; NDE Technician: Must record all experience gained and become LVL I in at least one discipline.

Skills

  • Highly skilled in commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field;
  • Advanced knowledge of nuclear reactor plant maintenance qualification training and certification;
  • Strong communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, convey detailed technical data and work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
