NDE Technician

About the role

KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is seeking a Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Technician/Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to perform shop and field inspections related to quality assurance and performance of NDE testing. The position is open to candidates based in the eastern half of the United States who are willing to travel to those areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop and field inspections related to quality assurance and performance of NDE testing
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Prepare and maintain records of inspections
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project managers and clients

Requirements

• NDT certifications: MT, VT, PT, and/or UT
• AWS CWI - preferred
• Good oral and written communication and decision-making skills
• Detail and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent work ethic
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to navigate the internet

• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
