Responsibilities

• Teach NCLEX-RN content areas, including management of care, safety and infection control, health promotion, psychosocial integrity, pharmacological and parenteral therapies, reduction of risk potential, and physiological adaptation.
• Explain the clinical judgment measurement model, computerized adaptive testing, and Next Generation item types to prepare students for licensure.
• Guide students through the clinical judgment model: recognizing cues, analyzing cues, prioritizing hypotheses, and evaluating outcomes.
• Teach delegation, supervision, medication safety, diagnostic result interpretation, and patient care prioritization using evidence-based frameworks.
• Develop systematic approaches to case studies and select-all-that-apply item formats.
• Adapt instruction using UWorld, Kaplan, or ATI practice question banks and content review materials.
• Identify and address common student challenges, such as pharmacology dosage calculations and prioritization questions.
• Use multiple teaching approaches to explain concepts and adapt to individual learning needs and styles.
• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of NCLEX-RN content and test plan, including familiarity with Next Generation NCLEX case study formats.
• Ability to teach the clinical judgment model and test-taking strategies for NCLEX-RN.
• Experience adapting instruction using practice question banks (e.g., UWorld, Kaplan, ATI) and content review materials.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to identify student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches.
