About the role
The role is a pivotal member of the School of Nursing, dedicated to fostering academic excellence and NCLEX readiness across all nursing programs (PN, ASN, BSN, MSN).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized academic success plans for at-risk students.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions focused on study strategies, time management, test-taking skills, and stress management.
- Monitor student progress and intervene early with appropriate support strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty to align course content with NCLEX test plans and competencies.
- Design and manage a comprehensive student success program tailored to each level of nursing education.
- Develop and maintain resources such as individual remediation, practice exams, and online learning tools.
- Lead initiatives to improve first-time NCLEX pass rates and overall program outcomes.
- Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, academic advisors, and support services.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum committees, and accreditation activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Track and report student performance metrics, retention rates, and NCLEX outcomes.
- Use data to identify trends, inform interventions, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide coverage for departmental needs, including but not limited to classroom instruction, clinical supervision, and other academic responsibilities as assigned.
- Monitor and report on student progress and outcomes.
- Conduct follow-up with students and prepare job placement reports.
- Support graduates in achieving NCLEX readiness and licensure.
- Generate ATI performance reports and provide academic advising to students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN or Doctorate in Nursing or Education preferred.
- Demonstrates a strong emphasis on clinical judgement, critical thinking, and understanding the major client needs categories on NCLEX: Safe and Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity.
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Florida. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing education, academic support, or student services.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and NCLEX pass rates (preferred).

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
