NC Programmer
Job Summary
Create N/C programs from customer-furnished data sets, blueprints, or sketches
Build needed 3D geometries for N/C tool paths
Support N/C machine operators
Create set up books, N/C instructions for NC machining
Support inspection and manufacturing department when required
Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Formal Catia training required with Catia experience a must
- Unigraphics training and experience a plus
- Critical thinking skills and good decision making thought processes
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills including the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple manner
- Able to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization
Required Experience And Education
- Experience with N/C machining, machine codes, cutting tools, feed and speed
- Minimum 5 years experience in N/C Programming in the aerospace industry with strong 3 & 5 Axis background
About the Role
Develops N/C programs for various 3 & 5-axis machines in Ducommun’s machine shop based on customer engineering drawings/models per internal procedures.
Qualifications
Must have formal Catia training and experience with Catia. Unigraphics training and experience are preferred. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
