NC Machinist - Manual Mill / Lathe

Delkor is looking for a full-time NC Machinist to join our team on 1st shift or weekend shift. The role involves providing parts and support for the assembly of Delkor machines.
Responsibilities
- Work with a safety-first attitude and encourage others to do the same.
- Consistently deliver quality parts to meet or exceed Advanced Machining Center (AMC) quality goals.
- Operate assigned NC manual machine(s) independently.
- Complete daily job requisitions within given time standards and utilize priority lists to plan tasks.
- Recommend process improvements and collaborate with other machinists to develop “best practices.”
- Work with programmers and routing analysts to ensure time standards are met.
- Suggest tooling and work-holding improvements for current processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform daily/monthly equipment maintenance.
- Assist with raw material stock loading/unloading and inventory control.
- Train and assist other machinists as needed.
- Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in machining or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience setting up and operating CNC machines (preferred).
- Exposure to programming using CAM systems, conversationally, and/or G Code.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and programming experience.
- Proficient in basic math and imperial-to-metric conversions.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing machine components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve machining issues on mills/lathes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for most of the workday.

- Arm and hand mobility to lift, hold, reach, and manipulate machining parts.
Work Environment
The role is primarily on the production floor in the AMC, with exposure to tools, dirt, dust, chemicals, metals, plastics, varying temperatures, construction noises, and production odors.
- Use of hand tools and stationary equipment typical in a machining center.
Pay
- Base pay: $28–$40/hour
- Shift premiums:
- 2nd shift: +$4/hour
- Weekend shift: +$15/hour
- 1st and 2nd shift employees receive weekend shift premium for hours worked Friday–Sunday
- $12,000 sign-on bonus available for CNC Machinist II
