Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and their families/caregivers.
- Eliminate barriers to timely care, facilitate flow through the system, and facilitate interactions with the clinical care team.
- Assess, secure, and coordinate appropriate services for patients.
- Empower patients, families, and caregivers to assume as much responsibility for their care as possible.
- Educate patients on preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative experiences.
- Facilitate communication between all members of the health care team.
- Cook up office visits across comprehensive care teams for continuity of care delivery.
- Enhance each patient's experience by staying involved, visiting patients at appointments, assessing their needs, and relaying relevant information to providers.
- Collect data for best practice and quality of care.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license in the state of Nebraska or compact RN license
- Three years of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association is required upon hire
