Job Summary

The primary role of the Navigator I is to enhance the likelihood of success, identify and reduce barriers for clients and connect them with needed services and resources. The Navigator will work with individuals who have been determined as in need of additional support and engagement and will be responsible for conducting outreach, engagement, case management, and ongoing wrap around supportive services. The Navigator I will also map out the most appropriate next steps for the individual who may need assistance in accessing various services to achieve ongoing success.

Skills/Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED is required.
  • Associates Degree (or higher) in a field related to Behavioral Health is preferred but not required of this position.
  • Must be in recovery from Alcohol or Drugs and/or mental health for equal to or greater than 1 consecutive year.
  • 1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of substance abuse/mental health recovery-oriented service is preferred but not required.
  • Current AZ Driver's License valid and good standing.
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
  • AZ Fingerprint Clearance card or good cause exemption required.

About the Role

This is a seasonal role, active during peak heat periods from May to October. However, there may be potential for continued employment if suitable roles become available within the agency.
