About the role

The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB), the Army’s #1 priority for strategic weapons capability for long-range precision fires. This role will counter and advance our technological lead over adversaries in the hypersonics field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-conformance investigations
• Troubleshoot test equipment and unit under test
• Work through root cause corrective action
• Assist in requirement decomposition
• Provide rapid integration and troubleshooting support for system-level integration
• Perform electronics integration, test, and troubleshooting
• Develop and execute test procedures
• Process post-test data
• Support environmental testing
• Apply knowledge of analog, digital, and power circuit design
• Document designs, assist with Technical Data Packages (TDP), and support production and test of avionics
• Communicate effectively within a team environment, including test and manufacturing engineers

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
• 4+ years of relevant experience (or MS in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience)
• Capability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, cable/wiring diagrams, and corresponding work instructions
• Familiarity with requirement decomposition
• Hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and test methods (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)
• Knowledge of test procedure development and post-test data processing
• Knowledge of environmental testing and circuit design (analog, digital, power)
• Organizational skills to document designs and support production/test of avionics

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Experience with manufacturing and production of avionics components
• Knowledge of test development to support troubleshooting hardware failures
• Experience with National Instruments Software
• Experience in a MIL-STD-810 Test Environment
• Knowledge of ASME and IEEE standards
• Experience supporting DoD programs related to missile systems, reentry vehicles, or hypersonic technologies
• Prior work in assembly, integration, or testing of missile systems
• Experience supporting rapid development, prototyping, or fast-paced engineering programs

Pay

Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
