Naval Satellite Communications Instructor
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering training courses focused on Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and related topics. They will work closely with subject matter experts to tailor training solutions to meet the needs of U.S. Navy sailors.
Responsibilities
- Familiarize clients with the best tools, processes, and training methods for U.S. Navy operations.
- Deliver interactive classroom and on-the-job training sessions, including practice scenarios and hands-on activities.
- Design and develop new and existing courseware, ensuring it meets the latest standards and requirements.
- Implement and evaluate training solutions using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model.
- Collaborate with U.S. Navy customers and fellow instructors to refine training materials and improve outcomes.
- Support ashore and afloat mobile training teams, providing direct training to U.S. Navy sailors.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with technical and operational SATCOM.
- Experience with live classroom training.
- Ability to interact, instruct, and mentor junior personnel on SATCOM operations.
- Ability to present and instruct material in both classroom and hands-on environments.
- Up to 25% travel, including aboard Navy ships.
- TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Strong understanding of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
- Knowledge of space-based operations and SATCOM technical capabilities.
- Experience with electronic warfare.
- Expertise in SATCOM signal characterization tools.

Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
