BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead environmental education programs for visitors of all ages
- Auxiliary with animal care and exhibit upkeep
- Answer visitor questions and phone calls
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous work experience in outdoor programming, environmental education, teaching, childcare, summer camp or related experience desired
- College coursework and/or degree preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as good organizational skills required
- Ability to work independently and successfully lead Environmental Education programs for groups of all ages is required
- Knowledge of the natural world
- Valid MI driver's license with good driving record is required
WORK SCHEDULE
Seasonal to year-round. 10-20 hours per week, weekdays, evenings & weekends.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
