Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Houston, TX. This individual will manage natural resource planning, assessment, and permitting of land development and infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the natural resource planning, assessment, and natural resource permitting of land development and infrastructure projects
  • Lead the preparation and modification of environmental assessments, impact statements, planning assessments, and permit application documents
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines
  • Maintain budgets, schedules, and project timelines to minimize write-offs
  • Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections
  • Demonstrate competency in areas of supervision and project management and participate in internal and external project management training
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning; Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Ecology/Planning preferred
  • 10+ years of work related experience in the field of natural resources, planning, and permitting
  • Extensive experience with local, state, and federal land use permitting
  • Effective management of multiple clients, projects, and budgets
  • Effective supervision and coaching of staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Occasional evening and weekend work as needed
  • Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing
