About the role

The Natural Gas Scheduler Northeast position involves forecasting customer requirements, communicating these to traders, submitting nominations to LDCs and pipelines, tracking gas flow and supply imbalances, and entering volume and cost information into SolArc Natural Gas and Safari.

  • Forecast the daily requirements of customers.
  • Communicate changes in required quantities to traders.
  • Nominate the required daily natural gas quantities to LDCs and pipelines under the supervision of Senior Schedulers.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of pipeline and LDC rules, procedures, and timelines within a designated market area.
  • Track and reconcile nominations, deliveries, imbalances, and actual customer usage.
  • Enter volume and cost information into SolArc Natural Gas and Safari and verify third-party invoices for sales and purchases as they become available.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, consultants, account managers, and accountants.

Responsibilities

The position requires working directly with traders, account managers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate natural gas delivery and minimize imbalance costs and penalties. The individual must be on-call 24 hours with rotating weekend duty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business or math.
  • Prior energy industry experience is a plus.
  • Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and relate to customers, outside contacts, and fellow employees.

Qualifications
