Natural Gas Mechanic (Entry Level Company-Vehicle Provided)

Responsibilities

• Installation/Replacement of natural gas meter, regulators, meter fits and other related natural gas equipment as necessary
• Maintain metering equipment and conduct investigations
• Perform external surface inspection to verify if there is visible atmospheric corrosion
• Conduct leak survey using a CGI (Combustible Gas Indicator)
• Conduct inspection of regulator vent
• Paint natural gas piping when necessary
• Interact with customers/clients
• Conflict de-escalation and resolution
• Report results on a mobile device with an installed application
• Maintain a high level of worksite health and safety
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows (browser)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative to perform tasks
• Able to perform with a high level of accuracy
• Able to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• A minimum of two (2) years of construction or mechanical experience
• Previous utility customer experience is desired
• OSHA 10-30 or HAZWOPER training is preferred

Benefits

Clear pay progression: $22/hr → $25/hr after training

Pay

$22/hr initially, with potential for advancement to $25/hr after training

Schedule

Hours are flexible but require standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.
