Responsibilities
- Travel nationwide to install, troubleshoot, and repair advanced electronic and IoT technology systems on heavy equipment.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize diagnostic computers and software for troubleshooting and configuration.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services performed using mobile computing devices and Microsoft Office tools.
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and project leaders to ensure clarity of expectations and resolution of issues.
- Independently manage service schedules and travel itineraries in coordination with dispatch or operations teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in 12-volt electronics, automotive, mechanical, or related technical work.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and basic electrical knowledge (DVOM testing, battery systems, etc.).
- System voltages from 12 volt to 48 volt DC power.
- Understanding of hydraulics and electrical drive systems.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Velociti’s insurance guidelines.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Comfort with frequent nationwide travel including overnight, weekends, and overtime to meet customer demands.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for troubleshooting.
- Basic tech skills—Microsoft Office, mobile apps, digital documentation.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds, stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders.
- Perform physical tasks in varied environments and temperatures both indoors and outdoors.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty vehicle lines.
- Formal technical training or certification in automotive, electrical, or electronics repair.
- Prior field service or mobile installation experience.
