About the Role
This National Sales Trainer role is an exciting opportunity to join Aflac, a leading company in the insurance industry. The position is open to candidates across the continental US, with the work designation depending on your location. If you reside within 50 miles of Aflac's offices in Columbus, GA, or Columbia, SC, the role will be hybrid, requiring you to work in the office for at least 60% of the workweek. For those living farther away, the role will be remote, with occasional office visits based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging training programs across multiple delivery formats, including virtual instructor-led training (vILT), in-person sessions, and blended learning experiences for a geographically dispersed sales force.
- Deliver training on sales processes, product offerings, enrollment capabilities, and sales strategies to improve field performance and effectiveness.
- Partner with sales leadership and training teams to identify learning needs, align training objectives with business priorities, and support the execution of national training strategies.
- Support the design, enhancement, and continuous improvement of training programs, materials, and delivery methods based on feedback and performance insights.
- Build strong relationships to identify skill gaps, reinforce learning, and promote the adoption of training initiatives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to field associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, and enrollment strategies.
- Support the execution of certification programs and training initiatives, ensuring alignment with national standards and business goals.
- Monitor participant engagement, training effectiveness, and feedback to recommend improvements and enhance learning outcomes.
- Manage training logistics, including scheduling, communications, enrollment, and reporting, to ensure a seamless learning experience.
- Serve as a point of contact for training-related inquiries and support communication between field teams and training leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field.
- 5 years of job-related work experience.
- 4+ years in corporate and/or educational training.
- Strong understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Learning Management Systems.
- Proven success in building, implementing, and facilitating training programs with a demonstrated impact on organizational results.
- Experience with training needs analysis, skill/knowledge-based assessments, and virtual classroom environments (e.g., Adobe Connect, Teams).
- Ability to present complex information in both technical and non-technical terms to diverse audiences, from executives to entry-level associates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Advanced), Excel (Intermediate), and PowerPoint (Advanced).
- Keen knowledge of training methodology and excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Expansive knowledge of Aflac’s products, services, platforms, and systems.
- Willingness to work in an environment without specific start and end times.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in a sales function or sales training environment.
- Preferred experience with SABA.
- Ability to demonstrate business acumen, use influence effectively, multi-task, manage projects, and set/execute realistic goals and timelines.
Skills
- Proven communication and web-based platform facilitation skills.
- Ability to tailor content and flex style to suit different audiences.
- Experience with technology-based sales training and support for sales organizations.
- Strong relationship management and resource management skills.
Travel
Less than or equal to 75%.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $152,000. Offers consider factors such as education, experience, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. This range does not include potential incentive pay or benefits.
