About the role
TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) is a media company that provides local news and services. The Sales Assistant role supports the Sales Organization and the Sales Fulfillment team, handling tasks like order entry, maintaining client schedules, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with agencies and station counterparts
- Order entry and maintenance of client schedules
- Regular tracking of client audience delivery
- Developing presentations and providing customer service
- Resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Overall support to the sales organization
- Ensuring all orders follow standardized TEGNA coding for accurate corporate reporting
- Working closely with TEGNA Sales Management to ensure accuracy, continuity, and meeting sales deadlines
- Actively using TEGNA selling platforms (WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, WideOrbit Connect, etc.)
- Creating analysis on campaigns to determine clearance trends, availabilities by station, sell-out percentages, revenue reporting, etc.
- Working with TCO on training opportunities for Sales Assistants
