National Respiratory Therapist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation/delivery of respiratory therapist equipment and provision of all needed supplies and products to the patients in the home.
• Ongoing assessment of patients and equipment in covering/assigned service area.
• Clinical contact with the physician, referred contacts, health care practitioners, area patient care coordinators, and others involved in the care of the patients referred to Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed for home respiratory therapist services.
• Maintenance of records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, preventative maintenance records, and other necessary documentation for any patient service in dictated area.
• Maintenance of accurate inventory of all Sleep Management/VieMed assets and supplies.
• Maintenance of vehicle maintenance and service (paid for by Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed).
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date demographic information and insurance coverage.
• Maintaining regulatory rules and guidelines as pertains to the staff respiratory therapist.
• Exhibiting effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Adhering to cost-containment policies and procedures.
• Ensuring prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, including providing adequate information to satisfy third-party payor guidelines for coverage.
• Promoting and marketing home respiratory therapist services to all referral sources.
• Completing equipment setups, quarterly checks, and any unscheduled equipment service/patient calls for all types of equipment.
• Serving as part of a rotating on-call schedule and covering on-call when needed within the assigned service area.
• Working with team members (other RTs, PCC’s, ACM’s and various departments) to ensure tasks are completed.
• Applying and maintaining any states licenses dictated by Clinical Coordinator.
• Traveling to assigned territories needing assistance 75% of the year; or as deemed necessary.
• Ensuring proper, accurate, and safe operation of all equipment prior to installation.
• Providing availability for patient contact and responding to patient needs.
• Completing equipment setups, quarterly checks, and any unscheduled equipment service/patient calls for all types of equipment.
• Working with fellow RTs in the area (if applicable) on a rotating on-call schedule and or cover on-call when coverage is needed in within dictated service area.
• Ensuring proper, accurate, and safe operation of all equipment prior to installation.
• Completing equipment setups, quarterly checks, and any unscheduled equipment service/patient calls for all types of equipment.
• Will work with team members (other RTs, PCC’s, ACM’s and various departments) to ensure tasks are completed.
