About the Role

The National Project Superintendent oversees the construction of asphalt and concrete parking lots at various locations throughout the United States. This role includes pre-construction meetings, project kick-offs, daily management of subcontractors, resource and timeline management, project closeouts, punch lists, and invoice approvals. This role requires up to 100% traveling.

Essential Functions

  • Manages construction of large parking lots throughout the U.S.
  • Identifies and ensures timely delivery of equipment and materials for projects
  • Executes project setup prior to construction
  • Reviews scope, plans, materials, etc. to understand every aspect of the job(s) being managed
  • Identifies opportunities to bring value to our clients
  • Documents job progress on a daily basis to ensure the customer’s needs are met
  • Sends consistent reports to the client and Rabine America office team
  • Responsible for project execution within budget; identifies opportunities for cost savings
  • Serves as first point of contact to customers and is responsible for a relationship based on trust and cooperation, and communication
  • Maintains constant communication with the customer, subcontractors, National Operations Manager, and Operations Coordinator
  • Negotiates various aspects of the project when needed and tracks any change orders
  • Works with other Project Managers to collaborate and support each other
  • Ledges and ensures everyone onsite promotes an injury and incident-free safety culture
  • Works with the Rabine safety team to push safety standards on subcontractors and all at the job site
  • Executes any onsite repairs (signs, bollards, etc.)
  • Possesses the ability to prospect other subcontractors to work with in the future, aiding in the company’s growth

Requirements

  • 3+ years of construction industry experience
  • Paving industry or project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Project Management (plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to set and manage budgets and resources
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial impacts of decisions with respect to project budgets
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license required
  • OSHA 30 Certification, First Aid and Flaggers Certification, and site relevant safety procedures certifications preferred
  • SWPPP certification is preferred
  • Experience with mix designs and pavement specifications is a plus
  • MS Office Skills
  • Ability to perform manual labor (this includes being able to lift up to 70 lbs), regular climbing and working from ladders, and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling

Qualifications

  • Qualifications include:

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • Position type: Full-time
  • Expected hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Travel: 100% travel
