BluSky's construction division is seeking a National Project Manager for a nationwide traveling position. This role involves day-to-day on-site management of assigned construction projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, vendor coordination, materials procurement, scheduling, budgeting, safety compliance, and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Field Management
    • Build rapport with project stakeholders and instill confidence in project management abilities.
    • Perform all contracted scopes per Best Practices.
    • Ensure all work is properly contracted/subcontracted.
    • Obtain building permits as required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and project.
    • Adhere to all OSHA and environmental regulations.
    • Assist Project Director with change orders.
    • Manage site personnel and subcontractors.
    • Drive safety, quality, and productivity in the field.
    • Perform buyout, submittal process, quality control, safety compliance, scheduling, and closeout successfully.
    • Ensure the highest level of customer communication and service.
    • Ensure an exceptional customer experience.
    • Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on industry standards.
    • All other duties or projects as assigned.
  • Office Management
    • Ensure all subcontractors are working under a proper subcontract agreement, per Best Practices.
    • Approve or reject invoices as appropriate, with proper communication with the project team.
    • Properly project, record, and maintain all project costs on budget worksheets.
    • Meet or improve upon revenue and profit margin goals as defined by BluSky.
    • Create, update, and present project schedules to customers, Project Directors, and VPs weekly.
    • Direct, mentor, and train junior-level team members.
    • Track change orders and all extras on projects via signed change order form and budget updates.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position leads and manages site personnel and subcontractors on assigned jobs.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction project management experience with $5M+ commercial, state, university, or federal projects.
  • Expertise in construction project management, financials, processes, and administration.
  • Strong business ethics, integrity, and ability to perform in highly autonomous environments.
  • Effective and strong writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders and local officials.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of full-time construction project management experience with sophisticated clientele.
  • Ability to travel (including air travel) approximately 75% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience with multi-family, hotel, and multi-building campus construction.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

Pay

  • Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
  • Commission OTE Range: Up to 2.5% of Gross Profit per Best Practice Guidelines

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment is usually quiet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee is required to regularly move and walk around the office.
