National Practice Lead, Planning & Advisory
Essential Duties
- Leadership of National Practice Team
- Manage and direct a National Practice leadership team
- Coordinate deployment of national technical expertise and specialty resources
- Develop a Strategic Plan to guide both our short and long-term growth strategy
- Provide Business Development and Client Engagement strategy
Technical Excellence & Quality
- Establish and champion Practice-wide technical excellence strategies
- Provide advice and guidance to staff
- Partner with Operations leadership to support project delivery excellence
- Foster resource leveling to enhance project delivery and quality
- Build and maintain effective relationships across Michael Baker offices
Talent Development & Succession
- Aid in the development of firm-wide talent
- Partner with Regional Practice Leads and Department Managers
- Decrease turnover within the Practice
- Guide/Lead Strategic Investment decisions
Operational Excellence
- Support Partner with Operations leadership
- Foster resource leveling
- Balance investments and engagement priorities
Industry Leadership
- Create visibility through presentations
- Build and maintain relationships
Specific Activities
- Lead, manage, evaluate, budget, recruit, and build the National Practice team
- Maintain and grow the MSIS funnel
- Identify and attract key talent
- Interview candidates for key positions
- Partner with Regional Practice Leads and Department Managers
- Build practice team via Talent Management process
- Guide/Lead Strategic Investment decisions
- Partner across Verticals to act as One Baker
- Grow MBI’s profile
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or above preferred
- Proper license or certificate for particular discipline strongly preferred
Compensation
The approximate base compensation range for this position is $250K-$329K and is bonus eligible. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
