About the role

The power utility market is experiencing significant changes driven by AI and infrastructure electrification, leading to substantial load growth across North America. Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power Solutions team to meet this demand and offer reliable power solutions to North American markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market and sales strategy
  • Identify talent gaps and recruit skilled professionals to enhance Jacobs' capabilities
  • Establish or deepen relationships with key clients
  • Collaborate with sales and delivery staff to develop innovative and compelling power generation solutions
  • Engage and develop strong working relationships with clients, vendors, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Oversee execution of thermal generation power plant projects through various phases of development from planning to commercial operation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree
  • At least 10 years of project management, design, consulting, construction, commissioning, and/or operations experience in the power generation market
  • Experience in overseeing thermal generation power plant projects through various phases of development from planning to commercial operation
  • Proven ability to engage and develop strong working relationships with clients, vendors, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in operational leadership roles
  • Prior experience in recruiting, developing, and growing operational delivery teams
  • Personnel management experience
  • Broad network of power industry contacts and relationships
  • Familiarity with diverse power generation technologies including Simple and Combined Cycle Gas Turbines, RICE Generators, and other thermal generation power plants
  • Professional engineering license(s)

  • Prior experience in operational leadership roles

  • Personnel management experience
  • Broad network of power industry contacts and relationships
  • Familiarity with diverse power generation technologies including Simple and Combined Cycle Gas Turbines, RICE Generators, and other thermal generation power plants

Pay

$170,400.00 to $235,000.00
