About the role

iHeartMedia is the number one audio company in America, reaching 90% of Americans every month. This role requires a strong leader/manager with journalism skills to manage radio news-writers/editors and anchors.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit and produce news text and audio
• Manage regional & national news desk
• Assignments, planning & content management
• Cover Breaking News for local/regional and national coverage
• Perform copy reviews with writers
• Perform aircheck reviews with anchors
• General newsroom responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Extensive news radio experience
• Leadership and management skills
• Proven track record of solid news work
• Strong journalism skills
• Highly experienced news writing background
• Ability to work in a fast-paced but flexible environment
