Nashville - School Nurse

What You’ll Do

• Provide daily health assessments, first aid, and emergency care to students as needed
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school health protocols
• Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions including asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, and severe allergies
• Conduct vision, hearing, and other required screenings per district and state requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; school-based (K–12) experience preferred
• Ability to pass a background check prior to employment
• Valid TX RN or LPN license required. Out-of-state applicants: proof of TX licensure transfer initiation required prior to start date
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric healthcare setting
• Familiarity with IEP and 504 accommodation processes as they relate to student health
• Experience managing chronic conditions in children (asthma, diabetes, allergies, seizure disorders)
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and school staff

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $30 – $40 / hour
