The Named Account Manager - SLED (Tallahassee) is a significant driver of company revenue and growth. As an experienced sales professional, you'll lead and drive sales engagements, motivated by solving critical challenges facing customers' secure environments. You'll meet and exceed quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans targeting deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform, actively displacing competing technologies. Our FLIGHT onboarding program blends virtual and in-person learning at headquarters, where new sales hires participate in dedicated cohorts to emerge as well-prepared professionals ready to guide customers through our comprehensive portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles and work with internal partners and teams to best serve the customer
- Bring consultative selling skills to initiate long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors
- Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments
- Understand the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position Palo Alto Networks
- Engage a programmatic approach to demand generation to develop and expand your territory
- Leverage prospect stories to create compelling value propositions with insights into value for specific accounts
- Stay updated on industry news and trends and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services
- Travel as necessary within your territory and to company-wide meetings
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security context
- Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners to bring a channel-centric go-to-market approach
- Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle: uncovering, qualifying, developing, and closing new, white-space territories and accounts
- Successful track record selling complex solutions
- Excellent time management skills with high levels of autonomy and self-direction
- Highly competitive, ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals
Compensation
$264,000.00 - $363,000.00/yr (base salary + commission target for sales/commissioned roles). Offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
