About the role
As a Nail Technician, you will carry out our Mission of Love by performing nail services for Masonic Village residents and other populations as required.
Responsibilities
- Know and adhere to all PA State Board of Cosmetology/Nail Technician Licensing requirements for salon nail technicians.
- Clean and sanitize tools such as nail chair/table, pedicure chair, manicure, and pedicure tools.
- Set up and clean up at the beginning and end of each day.
- At the end of every day, empty soiled linens and place in the proper laundry cart.
- Handle daily scheduling and billing in computer systems.
- Update and maintain client records in the computer system for all services.
- Assist with resident transportation when needed in the Health Care Center and Personal Care.
- Ensure quality customer service is provided.
- Maintain each salon station with supplies and equipment, keeping a professional appearance that is clean and safe.
- Report all repairs to the salon manager.
- Maintain knowledge and execute the principles of Eden Alternative.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform nail tech services.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current Cosmetology/Nail Technician license with the PA State Board of Cosmetology.
- Two years of working experience preferred.
- Commitment to updating professional knowledge by learning two new technical skills per year to stay current with upcoming trends.
- Excellent customer service, written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
