Nail Tech - Part Time - SouthPark Mall

About the role

The Nail Technician reports to the Salon Manager and is responsible for providing salon clientele with professional services relating to the care and treatment of nails and skin. We are a high-volume salon and spa specializing in natural nails, manicures, pedicures, and gel/Shellac services, located in high-traffic, premier mall locations throughout the Southeast.

This is a nonexempt, team-oriented role for a Nail Specialist with a positive attitude, passion for the beauty industry, and a thirst for continuous learning. We provide ongoing education opportunities, both in-house and through external classes led by top industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients promptly upon check-in and build a client base by recruiting new request clients and maintaining customer client cards.
• Provide quality professional nail and skin care services, including prescribing appropriate retail products.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and promptly address complaints.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and participate in ongoing continuing education on products, services, and industry trends.
• Ensure personal work area and salon meet or exceed State Board Regulations.
• Perform basic salon housekeeping duties, including cleaning, stocking, and organizing client cards.
• Effectively organize time and resources to meet sales goals.
• Communicate with Salon Management regarding issues and needs.
• Adhere to salon guidelines for attendance, tardiness, and professional appearance.

Requirements

• Valid and current board-certified license in cosmetology or nail technology.
• Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry preferred.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other business equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
