Nail Tech - Part Time

About the role

The Salon Technician provides professional services for hair, nails, and skin to salon clientele. Reporting to the Salon Manager or Desk Manager, this non‑exempt position is part of a high‑volume salon and spa that specializes in natural nails, manicures, pedicures, and gel/Shellac services. The role emphasizes a passion for the beauty industry, continuous education, and a positive, team‑player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nail and skin care services while meeting or exceeding personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients promptly upon check‑in and build a client base through recruitment and maintenance of client cards.
• Provide quality professional service using technical skills and recommend appropriate retail products.
• Address customer service issues and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maintain good communication skills and keep salon management informed of issues and needs.
• Participate in ongoing education on products, services, and industry trends.
• Ensure personal work area and salon comply with State Board Regulations.
• Perform basic salon housekeeping duties, including cleaning, stocking, and managing client cards.
• Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
• Adhere to salon attendance policies and maintain a professional appearance that meets the dress code.

Requirements

• Valid and current board‑certified license.
• Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry (preferred).
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and related business equipment.
• Capability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
