Nail Tech - Full Time

About the role

The Salon Technician provides professional services for the care and treatment of hair, nails, and skin, reporting to the Salon Manager or Desk Manager in a nonexempt position. The salon is a high‑volume spa specializing in natural nails, manicures, pedicures, and gel/Shellac services, located in premier mall locations throughout the Southeast. We seek nail specialists with a passion for the beauty industry, a positive team‑player attitude, and a commitment to ongoing education and rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional services relating to the care and treatment of nails and skin.
• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients within a reasonable time of check‑in.
• Build a client base by recruiting new request clients and maintaining customer client cards.
• Deliver quality professional service through technical skills and prescribe appropriate retail products.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and promptly address complaints.
• Exhibit good communication skills.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education on products, services, and industry issues.
• Ensure personal work area and salon meet and exceed State Board regulations.
• Perform basic salon housekeeping duties: cleaning, stocking, and maintaining client cards.
• Effectively organize time and resources to meet sales goals.
• Communicate with salon management regarding issues and needs.
• Meet salon guidelines for attendance and tardiness.
• Maintain an updated professional appearance and comply with the salon dress code.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid and current board‑certified license.
• Two to five years of experience in the cosmetology or cosmetic industry preferred.

Skills

• Ability to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other related business equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
