Nail Tech

Responsibilities

• Trim fingernails and toenails
• Clean, cut, and shape nails
• Recommend colors, rhinestones, and designs based on each customer’s style
• Remove previously applied polish
• Prepare and clean beauty station in-between appointments
• Sterilize equipment before use
• Inform clients about additional services and offers (e.g., loyalty discounts, eyebrow waxing)
• Give hand and foot massages
• Offer nail care treatment tips (e.g., how to strengthen nails and how to make manicures last longer)
• Up-sell treatments and beauty products when appropriate
• Engage with customers (e.g., chatting during appointments and remembering their preferences)
• Accept and schedule appointments and payments
• Maintain a clean work space
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
• Perform data entry and use various computer systems, including:
  • Word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Inventory and billing software
  • Order processing systems
  • Email and internet applications
  • iPad and cell phone usage
• Apply reasoning ability to carry out directives from the Company’s Owner
• Read and interpret documents such as customer records, instructions, and procedure manuals
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients
• Lift up to 20 pounds
• Comply with all Company policies, including safety and ethics policies
• Report any unsafe, unethical, or unlawful activities to the Company’s Owner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Attendance and ability to work in person at the Company’s worksite
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software and devices
• Data entry proficiency
• Strong reasoning and language skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds
