NA - Nursing Assistant - Med Surge & Ortho - PT Varied
About the role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The NA provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs.
- Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
- Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
- Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
- Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
Requirements
- Must be able to acquire a basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology and equipment within the assigned service area.
- Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is preferred.
- Certification is required if designated by law (i.e. Home Care).

Salary Range: $20.02 - $26.21 per hour

Shift Information: Five 8 hour shifts per pay period Every other weekend and holiday commitment Shift times are 7am-330pm, 3pm-1130pm, or 11pm-730am
