About the role

The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering a rigorous curriculum to Middle School students in a hybrid or fully remote learning environment. The position requires a strong foundation in science education, including the ability to integrate technology effectively into the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach science courses aligned with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) standards.
• Utilize various assessment tools such as running records through Google Meet to track student progress.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, providing targeted support in small groups and individual settings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Work closely with families to communicate progress and address any concerns regarding their child's academic performance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in science education.
• Support the social-emotional learning and development of students, fostering a sense of belonging and connection within the school community.

Requirements

• NYSED Certification in Science 7-12
• NYSED Fingerprinting requirements met

Pay
