Mutuel Teller Racing Cashier

Responsibilities

• Ensure costumer bets are placed correctly
• Cash/Cancel tickets as requested by customer
• Cash/sell vouchers
• Draw or skim money as needed
• Provide customers with a list of scratches for tracks or results for races
• Understand pari-mutuel wagering including: reading tickets sold, tote keyboard and basic racing terminology

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in customer service and banking/ money handling preferred
• Strong communication skills, be flexible and detail oriented
• Ability to read and write; basic computer knowledge; mathematic skills; knowledge of horseracing terms, betting and programs
• Good interpersonal skills
• Available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License

• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
