MUTUEL TELLER I

Responsible for

• Selling and cashing tickets
• Keeping money boxes balanced
• Issuing vouchers for self-service machines
• Performing skims/draws/returns at appropriate times
• Applying customer service skills to handle guests effectively
• Aiding guests with race results, program readings, betting advice, voucher issuance, and wagering assistance
• Tracking and completing Title 31 and Suspicious Activity reports
• Maintaining a favorable gaming experience for guests
• Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding financial information, operating systems, company policies, and guest information
• Knowing all casino events and promotional activities and assisting as needed
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean and orderly
• Adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
• Handling routine customer complaints and incidents discreetly, identifying situations requiring supervisory attention
• Working flexible schedules, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Disposing of items left by guests and maintaining a spotless casino
• Performing other duties as assigned or requested by management

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Proficient in English verbally and in writing
• Proficient with BAM devices
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Experience in cashiering or cash handling and counting strongly preferred
