Music Therapist – Use Music to Care for LA Seniors with Dementia Company: All Seniors Foundation Location: Los Angeles, CA About Us All Seniors Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to improving the quality of life for older adults across Los Angeles County. we provide medical care, in-home support, hospice and palliative care, cancer navigation, and 200+ other free services to qualifying seniors. Every service is delivered at no cost, regardless of insurance status. Role Overview As Music Therapist, you will provide evidence-based music therapy interventions for seniors with dementia, depression, hospice patients, and stroke recovery. You will work in homes and community settings, using personalized music to evoke memory, reduce agitation, and support quality of life. Key Responsibilities Conduct music therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plansDeliver one-on-one and group music therapy sessions in homes, adult day programs, and hospice settingsUse personalized playlists for dementia patients (per Music & Memory evidence-based protocols)Document clinical progress against measurable goals (mood, agitation, communication, engagement)Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and chaplains on integrated care plansTrain family caregivers on therapeutic music use at home Qualifications MT-BC (Music Therapist – Board Certified) credential requiredBachelor’s or master’s degree in Music Therapy1+ years clinical music therapy experience; geriatric, dementia, or hospice preferredStrong therapeutic relationship and assessment skillsProficiency on at least one instrument (guitar, piano, voice) What We Offer Competitive salary ($55,000–$80,000)CEU stipend + AMTA/CBMT conference fundingComprehensive benefits including health, dental, visionMileage reimbursement for home and community workMission-driven team integrating music therapy into senior care How To Apply Submit your application through the form on this page.
