About the Role

Zeta is expanding its impact in New York City, operating multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, with plans to open 1–2 new schools each year. As part of this growth, we are preparing to launch our first-ever Zeta High School class of 9th graders in the 2026-27 school year, creating a world-class, PreK-12 pathway. We are seeking passionate Music Teachers in the Bronx (Tremont) to join our team and help deliver a bold vision of educational excellence that combines high academic achievement with social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Execute a bold vision of excellence in music education, designing inquiry-driven, musically rigorous lessons that inspire joy, creativity, and deep engagement for all students.
• Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture where students develop a genuine love for music and families feel connected to a strong, welcoming community.
• Use data, student work, and research-based instructional tools to monitor progress, refine instruction, and drive student growth in musical knowledge and skill.
• Develop authentic, trusting relationships with students and families to support each child's personal, academic, and artistic development.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in ongoing professional learning, embracing feedback and coaching to continuously strengthen your teaching practice.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed, ensuring music is meaningfully integrated into the broader school experience.
• Lead a high-quality after-school music program that deepens students' passion, builds technical skill, and expands opportunities for performance and enrichment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 1-2+ years of teaching experience.
• Strong content knowledge and passion for music education.

Pay

The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $105,500. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary closer to the beginning of the range, depending on relevant experience and internal equity. Zeta offers a relocation reimbursement of up to $2,500 for eligible Teachers relocating to join our school community.
