Responsibilities
- Teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum
- Work to increase student count and ensure each student grows and enjoys playing music
- Nurture our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect
- Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs
- Communicate with students and/or parents regularly to build trusting relationships
- Share students' and parents' goals and progress frequently
- Assist with customer service as needed, helping to build long-term student relationships
Requirements
- Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field
- Ability to teach the instrument you are proficient in, such as drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.
- Skilled ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for music and teaching
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles
- Knowledge of Guitar Center's curriculum and lesson plans
