About the role

We are seeking a Music Teacher to conduct music lessons for students with disabilities, develop and implement curriculum aligned with New York State standards, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct music lessons as assigned and scheduled for students with disabilities
• Independently develop and implement curriculum and assessments consistent with New York State (NYS) standards for music instruction
• Adapt and modify instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and promote skill development in communication, social interaction, and engagement through music
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, instruments, and technology to enhance student participation and creativity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support student goals and facilitate cooperative learning and cross-curricular skill development
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and use data to inform instruction

Requirements

• New York State Education Department Certification: Music
• Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred

Pay
