Program Overview

Handshake is seeking experienced music professionals and academics for flexible, hourly contract work supporting AI research. This is not a traditional job; you'll contribute your expertise in performance, composition, or music production to evaluate AI-generated content.

Program Details

• Evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and relevance
• Create expert-level training data based on your professional experience
• Work on ongoing, project-based opportunities
• Remote work with a flexible, asynchronous schedule
• No minimum hour requirement; most contributors work 5–20 hours per week
• Placement depends on current project needs; opportunities for future projects

Who Should Apply

• Master's degree or above required; DMA strongly preferred
• Background in composition, jazz performance, guitar performance, commercial music, or instrumental performance (e.g., saxophone, trumpet)
• Strong instrumental performance background; performance-focused degrees preferred over musicology or ethnomusicology
• Experience with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton (plus but not required)
• Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
