Music & Movement Preschool Teacher

About the role

Implement our new music and movement enrichment curriculum in the classrooms. The program gives children time to sing songs, move their bodies, and use instruments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the enrichment schedule is followed each day
• Work with children of all ages, from infants up to 5 years old
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested
• Help and supervise children during enrichment activities
• Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Travel to four of our locations

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must possess a CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education with 45 hours training in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
• Must meet all state requirements for this position
• Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility is a plus
• Pleasant, friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
• Highly professional and dependable
• Ability to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
• Enjoy music and/or movement activities (e.g., yoga, dancing)
