Job Description
May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.
Primary Purpose
The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Special Requirements: The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration. Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. All degrees and course work used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s in music OR Bachelor’s in music AND Master’s in humanities OR
- Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;
- Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District;
- Commitment to diversity.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
Special Instructions
- This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date.
- If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
- This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis.
- When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
