About the role

As a Teacher, you will lead, mentor, and inspire both children and less experienced teachers in your classroom. You’ll implement KinderCare’s curriculum while tailoring it to each child’s unique needs, fostering a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and grow. Your role includes partnering with parents, supporting your center’s success, and building positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers; model behaviors and provide feedback
  • Implement KinderCare’s curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Support your center’s success by working with staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • Approved state trainer (preferred)
  • 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain them
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to engage with children physically and visually
  • Adequate vision and hearing to ensure children’s safety
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents
