Qualifications
- Music Education certification. (Endorsement 1200)
- Bachelors’ degree in teaching music or similar
- NH State certification as a music teacher
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels (K-6)
- A valid driver’s license is required
Responsibilities
- On site visitation required- 2x monthly minimum
- Provides materials and curriculum that are engaging and age appropriate for students (K-6)
- In person consultation on-site minimum 2x per month- required
- Regular and predictable attendance and presence at respective center is an essential requirement of position
- Provides learning experiences in the area of music guided by the NH state curriculum guidelines and district standards and requirements, while creating an environment that is conducive to a student’s learning and involvement
- Passion for teaching of musical concepts, materials, and instruments
- Encourage the growth of the student’s enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences including but not limited to singing, moving with music, playing of instruments, and listening
- Develops and administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning
- Conduct ongoing assessment of students musical learning and progress and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs
- Selects and requisitions appropriate music supplies and instrumental equipment, maintains inventory records, and ensures equipment is in good working order
