Music Director, Theater CCST Jr.

Job Responsibilities

• Enforces the CCS Student Code of Conduct, the CCS Uniform Code, and the CCS Computer Usage Code
• Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model
• Counsels students and maintains highest level of confidentiality pertaining to school and students' information, progress, and records
• Absorbs other responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or school administrator
• Absorbs other responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or school administrator
• Assists CCST Jr. Director with production of annual fall play and/or spring musical
• Coordinates with Choreographer to ensure all needed cuts are communicated and disseminated to pit orchestra musicians
• Attends and assists with all scheduled rehearsals
• Instruction of all vocal music parts for players in the cast
• Instruction of all pit orchestra parts to instrumental performing students
• Recruits additional performers for the pit orchestra to play books that are not covered by student performers

Qualifications

• Experience with theatrical productions (plays and musicals) as both a performer and a Production Team Member
• Ability to read, analyze, and teach vocal and instrumental music from a theatrical work as needed
• Ability to work as part of a production team and maintain a professional working environment
• Ability to adequately and effectively communicate and collaborate with other production team members, students, parents, and all other stakeholders to ensure student safety and success
