Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events in the club’s music program areas for youth ages 6 -18.
  • Commitment to Excellence in Program Delivery, Behavior Management and Safety
  • Assist in providing a variety of programming options reflective of the BGCB Music Program, includes running individual programs, activities, trips, etc.
  • Assist volunteers and consultants who can offer related instruction, support and guidance to members.
  • Aid in the supervision and discipline of members participating in programs and services within the program area as well as throughout the clubhouse as deemed appropriate.
  • Aid in the completion of BGCB’s program activity standards as assigned.
  • Participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.
  • Maintain a safe and clean program area.
  • Know safety emergency procedures and enforce all enforce rules and protocols to ensure safety of our youth and programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1-year direct experience providing music programs for youth
  • Knowledge of trends in music programming, techniques and theory, and utilization of technology in the field
  • Knowledge of youth development principles
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility
  • Must be or become current CPR/First Aid certified
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Flexibility to work clubhouse hours – especially as seasons and service needs change
  • Valid Driver’s License

Travel

Travel between sites and to activities as needed.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary - $19/hr - $20.95/hr - commensurate with experience
