Music and Worship Director

Responsibilities

• Rehearse with worship team and musicians regularly.
• Communicate and work with soloists, ensembles, and instrumentalists regarding the selection and appropriateness of their music and their participation in worship.
• Lead the congregational singing.
• Cookordinate the schedule for special music.
• Cookordinate the church music program with the church calendar with special emphasis on the important dates of the church year.
• Plan and prepare annually for a special music emphasis during the Christmas and Easter seasons.
• Cookordinate with the Technology Director and Audio/Video technician(s).
• Comply with all established church policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal and state laws.
• Recommend the financial needs of the music ministry to the church through the finance committee, and following established church procedures, be responsible for the expenditures of the music ministry.

Qualifications

• A man of high moral character who lives by the standards of the Christian life as set forth in the Bible.
• Maintain a personal relationship with God, his family, and seek to serve New Canaan Baptist Church to the best of their ability.
• Commitment to work within Baptist beliefs and principles, ascribing to the Baptist faith.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
