Museum Curator
Qualifications
- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Tracking conservation/preservation projects; AND ensuring artifacts are stored and exhibited correctly.
Education
- Applicants must meet the following basic requirements for this position as established in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a degree in museum work; or in an applicable subject-matter field. OR Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. OR Four years of experience that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study as shown in A above.
- To qualify for this position through education substitution, applicant must possess: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
