Museum Associate

About the role

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic people with excellent customer service skills and a conscientious work ethic to join our gift shop team at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Museum Associates support and deliver an unforgettable experience for visitors, working in multiple areas including gift shop operations, leading after-hours tours and programs, assisting visitors with memberships and bricks, and sharing the history of the Lighthouse. Your work in the gift shop plays an important role in the day-to-day support of our non-profit Museum—you are the first and last person a visitor sees on our site.

Responsibilities

• Create an amazing experience for all guests.
• Support day-to-day gift shop functions including processing ticket and merchandise sales, stocking, and pricing.
• Assist visitors with membership and brick processes.
• Interact with visitors on path, porch, tower, and base.
• Engage visitors by leading after-hours tours and programs.
