About the role

MUSC Health Infectious Disease Columbia is seeking a BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician to join a growing community-based health system in Columbia, South Carolina. The chosen candidate will provide comprehensive infectious disease services and high quality, compassionate care to patients in the Midlands region of South Carolina and beyond. Experienced or graduating fellows are welcome!

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive infectious disease services and high quality, compassionate care to patients in the Midlands region of South Carolina and beyond.
  • Coverage includes two acute-care hospitals and one outpatient practice located near both hospitals.
  • Work with adults, ages 18+ with both acute and chronic infectious diseases, occasional transplant patients, HIV and Hep C/B care at the discretion of the provider.
  • No overnight or weekend call.
  • Access to our Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists.
  • Work closely with Infection Prevention.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program and Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
  • Hold a valid unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.
  • Strong clinical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program and Infectious Diseases Fellowship.
  • Hold a valid unrestricted South Carolina Medical License.
  • Strong clinical, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Pay

Salary grade Health-02, scheduled weekly hours 40.
