About the role

As a Municipal Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure projects that enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses within the community.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing plans for water supply, drainage, and other municipal infrastructure projects
• Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Assessing project risks and recommending mitigation strategies
• Managing project budgets and timelines
• Overseeing construction activities and ensuring adherence to design specifications
• Communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and address concerns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Experience with project management software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar
• Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS or similar
• Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes
• Experience with GIS and mapping software

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
