About the role
As a Municipal Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure projects that enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses within the community.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing plans for water supply, drainage, and other municipal infrastructure projects
- Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Assessing project risks and recommending mitigation strategies
- Managing project budgets and timelines
- Overseeing construction activities and ensuring adherence to design specifications
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and address concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience with project management software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar
- Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS or similar
- Understanding of environmental impact assessment processes
- Experience with GIS and mapping software

Pay
Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
